How Can I Apply?

The applicant will need to fill out the registration form and meet the following requirements:

Selection Process for IFCW Participants
1. Essay
Submit a short essay on one of the five topics given. In the essay, the topic must be correlated to the overall theme of “my world, my dream”. It should explain, for example, reality of leadership in your environment (which is your ‘world’), as well as what you think leadership ought to be like, and why (i.e. your ‘dream’). It is highly recommended that participants use both illustration, facts as well as arguments to substantiate their essay. Essays must be no less than 700 words but no longer than 1500 words, font Times New Roman size 12, 1.5 spacing, on an A4 format. With 1.25 inches for left and bottom margins, and a 1 inch margin for top and right.

2. Creative presentation
This second article is meant to allow you to be as creative and experimental as you want. You will be allowed to use whatever means possible to present your illustration of “my world, my dream”, based on one of the five given topics, given that it is not the same as the topic for the essay. (For example, you can present by making posters, doing a short play, singing your own composed song, making a video, and so on.) A soft copy of that media (picture, video, slides, etc) must be submitted to the committee, as well as a video/audio record of the presentation. Pictures must be in the form of JPEG/GIF files, while videos zipped and in MP4 or WMV format. The overall presentation should take between 5 and 7 minutes.

Email your submission including all relevant documents and participant’s biodata to youthforum.ifcw2009@gmail.com BEFORE July 20th 2009.
